Submit your sustainability project or initiative for the GO Game Changers Awards!

What are the most innovative, daring or eye-catching initiatives related to socio-environmental and/or economic sustainability happening at the AUAS? That's what the GO Game Changers Awards are all about!

This event gives students a podium to share about their ecological, social or economic sustainability initiative. You can apply for an award by submitting your graduation assignment, individual or group research project, or an internship project. In this way we create a platform where students, experts and visitors can inspire, motivate and activate each other. The GO Game Changers Awards take place twice a year, once every semester.

Original ideas

To participate, your project or idea does not have to be finished yet. It may be an idea that has just arisen, or an initiative that has already been developed a bit further. From all applications, the most original ideas, projects or student start-up companies will be selected to join the next awards ceremony.

Jury and Public awards

During the award ceremony, students present their idea, project or initiative to a professional jury, which selects the winner. In addition to the jury award, there is also a public choice award, in which the public can vote for the project that appeals the most. The project with the most votes wins!

De GO Game Changers Awards vinden elk semester plaats.

Meet the jury!

Jonas Kooyman (Havermelkelite)

Jonas, 34, an Amsterdam native, pursued Media and Culture followed by a Journalism master’s degree. His enduring passion for media and pop culture, especially magazines, films, and TV, fueled this choice. He built a journalism career at NRC and founded Havermelkelite, dedicated to city life and trends. Havermelkelite’s inception followed his resignation from NRC, driven by unexpected growth in its Instagram and newsletter, spotlighting Amsterdam’s ‘havermelkelite’. This urban class defines itself through e-bikes, natural wines, trendy dining, and unconventional sports, reflecting their status. Jonas uses Instagram for satire, while his newsletter offers in-depth insights into contemporary trends. The paid version echoes his NRC-style writing with essays, columns, and analyses, entertaining a broad audience with painfully accurate posts and relatable memes that manage to make people laugh. On his platform he humorously holds up a mirror to the yuppen of our time, who struggle with issues such as: how do I combine my sustainable lifestyle with my flights to Bali and Cape Town?
