In short, our project is about not only making sports more sustainable but the world more sustainable through sports. We gather fishing nets out of the ocean that are recycled from fishermen who do not use them anymore and from organizations that retrieve these nets from the ocean and give them a new life by reconstructing them into football goal nets. These nets can be used by amateur clubs to professional football teams. Instead of manufacturing new nets, we use the ones that are already polluting the ocean causing harm to marine life. Ghost nets are the main cause of injuries and death to marine life as well as causing 86% of the plastic pollution in the ocean. In addition, we will also be giving part of our proceeds back to the organizations that retrieve the fish nets, allowing them to continue their efforts and clean up the ocean.
