Rent a Cup

Rent-A-Cup is a student-led sustainability initiative at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA) aimed at reducing single-use cup waste. The project offers a convenient and eco-friendly cup rental system for students, lecturers, and staff. Users can rent a reusable cup for a small fee and return it after use via designated bins on campus. Once returned, they receive a refund within 24 hours. This approach removes the hassle of bringing or cleaning your own cup while promoting responsible consumption. By making sustainable choices simple and accessible, Rent-A-Cup contributes to a cleaner, greener campus. Although currently limited to HvA, the initiative has plans to expand its impact beyond the university.
