Rigged Road is an educational game that helps students understand social inequality through meaningful gameplay.

Players step into the role of a randomly assigned animal character with unique strengths and limitations. Event cards present real life situations within the fictional world concept where inequality can appear, allowing students to explore complex social dynamics in a playful and accessible way.

During the game, students reflect as a group through guided questions on the game-master phone. At key moments they each face a choice between personal benefit and the wellbeing of the group. The consequences of these choices show how inequality can grow over time and how they play a part in it.

Rigged Road creates a respectful and safe space for discussing sensitive themes. Many students and teachers find it difficult to talk about inequality because it can feel abstract or sometimes polarising. The game lowers resistance, encourages curiosity, strengthens understanding and helps to open conversations. It shows how a simple interactive experience can help people recognise unfair situations, reflect on how society functions and move toward improvement together.

Rigged Road was created as an individual graduation project based on research, developed with love and care, and tested with students in real classroom settings.
